Was man nicht im Kopf hat... -  Use your head to save your heels, explores ways of seeing, image-making and their reception and topicizes the experience of space as continuum and the creation of images through movement. The technical loop of the video mimics the historical loop of image- making and its reception: An image is always an image of a preexisting image or the interpretation of a preexisting interpretation of reality respectively.

The dual projection at Ginerva Gambino features two side-by-side tracking shots: one takes viewers on a tour through the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena, California, while the other provides a stop-and-go experience along a trail in the nearby Descanso Gardens. The Norton Simon Museum boasts an impressive collection of European art spanning from the Renaissance to the 20th century, along with notable South and Southeast Asian art. Founded by industrialist Norton Simon, who curated the collection over thirty years starting in the 1960s, the museum displays its works chronologically across two gallery wings. In contrast, Descanso Gardens covers 150 acres and was once owned by newspaper magnate E. Manchester Boddy, who operated a commercial camellia garden until he donated the property to Los Angeles County in 1953. Today, the gardens are celebrated for their botanical diversity and “rare natural beauty,” providing visitors with a close-to-nature experience.

At Ginerva Gambino, the projection titled “Was man nicht im Kopf hat...” stretches along the gallery's longest wall, presenting the images in near life-size. Although the two video channels have different durations, they play in a continuous loop, creating varying overlaps with each new cycle. Both videos are filmed in single takes using a GoPro camera, offering an immersive first-person perspective of the environments. The museum tour features a steady pace as the camera glides through the halls, scanning the artworks displayed on the walls. In contrast, the garden footage alternates between stillness and movement, pausing approximately every 100 seconds, creating a dynamic visual experience. While the museum's artworks represent interpretations of the world, the gardens embody a vision of nature and landscape. Interestingly, some late 19th and early 20th-century pieces from the museum depict natural scenes akin to those captured at Descanso Gardens, highlighting the interplay between artistic representation and the natural environment.

Obwohl die beiden Videokanäle unterschiedliche Dauern haben, werden sie in einer Endlosschleife abgespielt, sodass mit jedem neuen Zyklus unterschiedliche Überlappungen entstehen. Beide Videos werden in Einzelaufnahmen mit einer GoPro-Kamera gefilmt und bieten eine immersive Ich-Perspektive der Umgebungen. Der Museumsrundgang zeichnet sich durch ein gleichmäßiges Tempo aus, während die Kamera durch die Hallen gleitet und die an den Wänden ausgestellten Kunstwerke abtastet. Im Gegensatz dazu wechselt das Gartenmaterial zwischen Stillstand und Bewegung und hält ungefähr alle 100 Sekunden an, wodurch ein dynamisches visuelles Erlebnis entsteht.
